Dear Parents,
This week we finished our books: The Sleeping Bear and your
child is encouraged to try reading it to you. Please remind them to follow
their index finger as they say the words. Next week we will make reading
pointers to help us focus our attention as we learn to decode letters and numbers.
‘Kindergarten at
Night’ is on Thursday, October 24th from 6:00- 7:30 pm.
This is an opportunity for parents to join their children in some of the
classroom activities that make up our school day. You will have a better
understanding of the program after attending this evening session. As this is a
special time for your child to show you our routines, and we are limited by
space, we ask that brothers and sisters stay at home. Babysitting will NOT
be provided. There will be regular classes that day for Kindergarten
students. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Finally, this is a very special, family weekend and I wanted
to use this opportunity to express my gratitude to all my students and parents
for supporting our learning at school. I am thankful for being part of your
child’s learning.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Ms. Dilov
